The 2025 State of the University Address was be held at  noon  in Juneau on January 30, 2025 during the èßäÉçÇø¹ÙÍø Chamber Legislative Fly-in.  

President Pitney’s address provided an update on the important role the University of èßäÉçÇø¹ÙÍø system has in the state’s economic recovery and in building èßäÉçÇø¹ÙÍø’s workforce; the contributions of UA’s world-class research; and highlight excellence across the èßäÉçÇø¹ÙÍø system. 

This was Pitney’s fifth State of the University address since being appointed interim president in 2020 and her fourth as the èßäÉçÇø¹ÙÍø system’s 17th president.

President Pitney delivered the address as the keynote speaker during the èßäÉçÇø¹ÙÍø Chamber’s Legislative Fly-in Luncheon at the Centennial Hall in Juneau.
