These are: requiring entities to notify customers if there is a breach of personal information, granting customers the ability to put a freeze on their credit report for security, restrictions on the use of social security numbers, regulations pertaining to the disposal of records containing personal information, allowing victims of identity theft to petition the court for a determination of factual innocence, and a requirement of truncated payment card information on sales receipts.
